About Tim Winton
Tim Winton born on 4 August 1960 in Western Australia is a famous Australian author. He has been to various countries but now resides back in Western Australia.
Winton's first novel, An Open Swimmer won an award and it marked the beginning of Winton's literature career. He continued to write another four novels before properly establishing his writing career. Winton is now a renowned author for adult and children novels. His books have been published around the world and in eighteen different languages. Some of his works have even successfully been adapted for stage, screen and radio. Winton draws his main inspiration from the landscape he knows well. The Western Coast of Australia. He is also a strong supporter of marine and environment conservation. |

Eugene: So, nice to finally meet you Mr Winton! How are you going?
Tim: Nice to meet you too, and I’m perfectly fine now that I’m rich!
Eugene: Alright, let’s begin with some easy questions.
Tim: Fire away!
Eugene: Mr Winton, do you personally enjoy being an author?
Tim: In my opinion, no, not really. I actually do it for the money. The people I write for pay me in plenty of gigantic cheques.
Eugene: Oh really? That answer is quite a shock. Anyways, let’s move on to the next question. How famous do you think you are?
Tim: Well, that’s an easy question. I consider myself to be a great star and a very popular man.
Eugene: Okay… thank you for your answer. So, how do you relate yourself to the book Blueback, which seem to be one of your own favourites?
Tim: I live in Western Australia near the coast, in a big mansion of course, and in Blueback there is a coast involved. So yeah, I think this would be the main similarity between Blueback and I.
Eugene: How did you think you went with Blueback?
Tim: Terribly. I only like it because it was my main profit.
Eugene: Do you spend more time with your family or writing books?
Tim: Well, even though I do not like to write books, I’d say that I spend more time writing books. This is so that my popularity can maintain at a high level.
Eugene: Okay, that was quite a big response. How many books have you written that actually has got published?
Tim: Well, that depends. Including every single book and short story, I’d say about 25.
Eugene: Thank you Mr Winton. Out of all your books, which books do you like the most?
Tim: My favourite? I’d say Blueback as it has given me more money and attention than my other books.
